Acer Aspire Series will be bringing out a 12.5-inch screen notebook as a successor to their 10 inch model. This one is known as Aspire Switch 12, which comes in five sets of modes: tablet, display, tent, laptop and a detached form keyboard. This product is also the first from Acer where we will see a fan-less power Core M chip.
The FullHD screen resolution on the 12.5-inch Switch ships with Corning Gorilla Glass and anti-finger print coating. Acer’s zero-gap technology in this device will also provide a better viewing angle. The memory in the device ranges from 60GB to 120GB SSD along with a micro-USB 3.0 port, a micro HDMI port and front facing dual speakers. The device is estimated to run for 8 hours because of the low-power Core M processor. Gone are the times when uses had to listen to the fan buzzing, thank to the fan-less Core M chip by Intel.
Core M processors also ship in the latest Lenovo Yoga 3 notebook but there were questions raised on its performance issues. Let’s see how Acer has improved on these issues with the Core M with Switch 12. The launch is expected in the mid of December for the MENA region.
